लादेनला शोधणार्‍या..........

लादेनला शोधणार्‍या तथाकथित जगाच्या ठेकेदारांनो
जगदगुरु तुकारामांचे पार्थिव शोधुन काढा
धर्मांधता कोणतीही असु दे
तिला तिथल्या तिथे गाडा

असे कसे जातील संत तुकाराम
सदेह वैकुंठास
ज्यांना ठरले अडचणीचे
त्या नराधमांनीच धुळवडीला केले खलास

काय म्हणताय
खून झाल्याचा पुरावा काय?
मग वैकुंठास सदेह गेले
हयाचा तरी दाखला कुठाय?

दोन्ही गोष्टींना पुरावा नाही
तर आता तर्क लावलाच पाहीजे
संत तुकारामांचे अभंग वाचू
त्यांचा खूनी घावलाच पाहीजे

जे म्हणतात संत तुकाराम सदेह वैकुंठास गेले
त्यांनी आजच्या युगात जावून दाखवावं
नाहीतर आपल्याच बापजाद्यांनी खून केलाय
हे बर्‍या बोलान स्विकारावं

सावित्रीमाई माफ कर...

बोर्डाचा निकाल जाहीर झाला
यावेळीही मुलगीच पहिली आली
मुलाखत घेण्या टॉपरची
प्रसारमाध्यमांनी पुन्हा चढाओढ केली

प्रथम आईवडीलांची प्रतिक्रिया घेतली
पेढे भरवताना फोटो काढले
शाळेतील मित्रमैत्रिणींचेच काय
पण ईस्त्रीवाल्या भैयाचेही मनोगत जोडले.

सगळीकडे आनंदी-आनंद असताना
एका पत्रकाराने प्रश्न विचारला
मेहनत जरी तुम्ही केली कठीण
पण यशाचे नेमके श्रेय कोणाला?

अपेक्षित प्रश्न आल्यावर
समाधान झळकले मुखावर
अभ्यासात हुशार आणि नियमीत
मुलीचे जबरदस्त होते पाठांतर

पाठ केलेल्या बडबडगीतासारखे
क्षणार्धात दिले टॉपरने उत्तर
अर्थातच कामाला जाणारे आई-वडील
आणि अमुक-अमुक क्लासेसचे तमुक- तमुक सर

यावर्षीसुध्दा नेहमीप्रमाणे
टॉपरच आद्यशिक्षिका सावित्रीमाईंना विसरली
मग बाकीच्या सुमार बुध्दीच्या मुलींकडुन
कृतज्ञतेची कसली अपेक्षा उरली

सावित्रीमाईंनी केल्या नसत्या सहन हाल-अपेष्टा
आणि सनातन्यांकडुन नित्य अपमान
तर शिक्षणाची दारे उघडली असती का
स्त्रियांना दाखवण्या आपली बुध्दी महान?

सावित्रीमाई माफ कर कृतघ्नांना
आजचा माणुस वर्तमानातच जगतो
इतिहास मार्कांसाठी मजबुरीने वाचायचा विषय झालाय
म्हणुन सर्वांच्यावतीने मीच तुझी माफी मागतो.

WISH YOU A VERY HAPPY SAVITRIBAI PHULE JAYANTI

Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule is our first lady teacher. She fought a great
battle for us. For the Indian society that always sings song of Brahmin
women Rani Laximibai, Savitribai Phule's life and contribution continues
to be ignored. All women must celebrate Savitribai's Jayanti for we owe
our progress to her struggle to give us education, equality and self
respect.

Savitribai Phule, wife of the great social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule,
was born on 3rd Jan 1831 at Naigaon, Tha. Khandala Dist. Satara. Amid some
fierce protest by the Manuwadi upper castes, the couple opened country's
first school for girls in Bhide's wada in Pune and she was nominated as
the first head mistress.

When Savitribai used to walk towards her school, upper caste mob used to
throw cow dung and stones at her.. She could have played a simple housewife
to Jyotiba but when she saw her husband's devotion to the social cause,
she too jumped into the social field.

In 1852, Phule family was honored by British Government for their work in
the fields of education and Savtribai was declared as the best teacher. We
must thank British Government for encouraging education for women.

She adopted Yashwant, a son of Kashibai, a Brahmin widow. She was active
member of Satya Shodhak Samaj formed by Mahatma Phule and even presided
over the Conference at Saswad.

Savitribai's important contributions included 52 free food hostels in
Maharashtra. She forced Government to start relief work for people
affected by Plague epidemic in Pune. And she died while serving Plague
epidemic patients on 10th March 1897.

This is brief history about Krantijoyti Savitribai Phule. It was great
struggle she did to bring women to the mainstream. It is because for her
struggle that we are in this position. She dedicated her whole life for
us.
